Franco has been painting since the age of nine. Throughout the years he has learned to work in oils, pastels, and acrylic. Formal training came later on at the University of Toronto's Fine Arts. Learning the techniques of the Masters, Franco encompassed many of those techniques within his own body of works. Franco's paintings are in many private collections.

Although Photography was a tool for his painting references, he was always inspired by photography as an art form.
